Duke’s New Medical Records System Improves Patient Experience

To provide our patients with the highest quality care, Duke Medicine launched Duke Maestro Care, our state-of-the-art comprehensive medical records technology.
 
Maestro Care creates a single, state-of-the-art electronic medical record for each patient. This new, secure record can be accessed by care teams at any Duke location, as well as by affiliated and referring physicians.

This technology enables seamless, real-time communication among all members of your Duke care team. It also enhances our ability to communicate to other providers across the state.
 
As part of the launch of Maestro Care, the patient online tool Duke HealthView is transitioning to Duke MyChart. This new online tool gives patients access to information from their Maestro Care electronic health record.

Your New Online Tool – Duke MyChart

If you have a Duke HealthView account, please know that in Duke MyChart you will still be able to view your appointment information, request appointments, view medical reports, and pay your bills.  
 
Duke MyChart will also has helpful new features:

  • Request a prescription refill.
  • Send a message to your health care team about any non-urgent needs.
  • Access your Duke MyChart account through the iPhone and Android MyChart apps.

Accessing Your Duke MyChart Account

If you are a current HealthView user, you will enter your HealthView username to login to Duke MyChart. The first time you log-in, you may be prompted to reset your password for security purposes.

Paying Your Bills Online 

Visit Duke MyChart to pay your medical bills online using a credit card. You can also view your payment history, see itemized statements, and more. Pay your bill online with Duke MyChart.

You should visit HealthView only if your Duke Medicine billing statement indicates that your bill can be paid online using the HealthView portal. Pay your bill online with HealthView.

 
We Appreciate Your Patience
 
During the transition to the new medical records system, you may notice some changes, such as:

  • Slightly longer wait times in clinics.
  • You will continue to receive more than one billing statement until your current balance is paid in full. For existing HealthView users, some balances may continue to be paid via Duke HealthView. See your billing statement for details.
  • Electronic check in (online and kiosk) will no longer be available.

Please bear with us during these temporary inconveniences, and enjoy the online ease of access to your own medical records, prescription refills, and a way to directly contact your physician or other members of your care team.
