Kenneth C. Morris
Kenneth C. Morris serves as senior vice president, chief financial officer, and treasurer of Duke University Health System where he provides top-level financial management and strategy for the system. Morris directs accounting, financial reporting, financial planning and budgeting, patient accounting, billing and registration, insurance, and managed care contracting.
Morris received a BA degree in political science from the University of Rhode Island and went on to serve as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army. Before beginning his career in finance at Tulane University in New Orleans, he earned a master of public administration degree from the University of Colorado. Later he served as assistant vice president for finance at Loyola University in Chicago and then vice president for finance and treasurer at Loyola University Health System. Immediately prior to coming to Duke, Morris served as senior vice president of finance for Mission St. Joseph’s Health System in Asheville, North Carolina.
